Schoppenstübla in Oberschwarzach

The restaurant is lovingly furnished and decorated, the waiter was nice and funny. BUT the food was a zero number. The schnitzel was kept warm for a long time and accordingly the breading was fatty and soft. The fried potatoes were also soft. Nothing was spiced. Most of the salad came out of the can, the fresh leaves were already brown around the edges and the salad sauce only tasted like vinegar. The fried fish was just underground. Every motorway service station offers better food.

Seen on the Womotour, tried out on the motorcycle tour with the boys. Very nice entertaining service and the delicious food made the stop a highlight. Come back here.

The Schoppenstüble is located at the entrance to the village of Handal. Some gravelled parking spaces can be found right in front of the house. Here is also a Dammwildgehege. The gastronomy is embedded in a Frankish courtyard, in the courtyard are some tables and a small terrace and a threshing floor. Especially hikers, Moror cyclists find their way here. In the tap you will find red beers and selected Franconian wine specialties. As a meal dishes are offered Aula Hausmannskost the Franconian cuisine. All in all, we were very satisfied and would come back to dinner anytime. The prices as well as absolutely favorable for this region and the portions generous and lush. I have 5 stars.

The 2 stars are only for the beautiful terrace. Otherwise... Completely overwhelmed service. Waiting time for food is not tenable. After order came drinks, with the information that now there is no more food ... Unsustainable for me. Well Radler had tasted, that's it. Unfortunately ?

Franconia is beautiful, Franconia is cozy and the Weingasthof describes and lives that. Good copious food with good Franconian wine.

Simple, good and cheap! At the end of the 2015 season we were again in Handthal, this time in the well-known restaurant "Schoppenstübla". So far we had only had coffee and dinner there, this time we had lunch. The house is very biker-friendly, you can already see it outside the gate. There is also a motorcycle get-together called "Good Vibrations" and open air motorcycle services are organized. As a biker you feel in good hands at all times. There are lots of pictures of various activities hanging all over the restaurant. Always nice to look at. Now to the food. We opted for a hearty breaded schnitzel with bacon, bratwurst and fried potatoes and my wife for a gypsy schnitzel. The former was really hearty and ideal for "hungry boys", so nothing for diet. The gypsy schnitzel was not quite as hearty but tasty and the portion was also good enough to big. Since we were very full after these dishes, the dessert was canceled this time. This was also noticeable when ordering the invoice. I would count the Schoppenstübla as one of the cheaper ones, although the location is more touristy. But this should not reduce the food. We have never been disappointed and have been there at least 5 times now. We are already looking forward to the next motorcycle season and our next visit to the Schoppenstübla.

We felt very well cared for, the food was good and the hosts very friendly. The ambience is quaint and the funny and sometimes thoughtful slogans are a reason to come back alone.

Everything great ! I celebrated my birthday on the glowweed night and can not understand Christina's rating! I asked again and they were all very satisfied! Just like us! Also with the waitress, who jumped in for your colleague at short notice! Thanks for the delicious food and the nice party! And we will be back! ;)

Well, yesterday was Mother's Day, but if you wait for almost two hours for his food and meanwhile no statement from the innkeeper, why it takes so long and then the ordered breaded schnitzel still floating on the plate in the fat and the burnt breading still on the Schnitzel is and the ordered jumboteller fries presented as a dwarf number, then I'm more than unzufriden and feel as a customer belittled! Actually, I think of terms of force here but that would only help the ego !! So me and the other six guests will certainly NOT return!

The Schoppenstübla is something very unique. The many many details in the restaurant make it a little journey back in time the owners. Here, the older and sociable guests like to meet. It is always fun and also the employees have a loose saying or joke in stock. The prices are reasonable and cheap. The food is good.
